Furloom stores the information you add locally on your device. The current app does not require a Furloom account and does not operate a Furloom backend or cloud-sync service. You can deliberately move content out of Furloom by choosing a share or export destination.

Information stored on your device

  • Pet profiles, species and breed details, and optional milestone dates
  • Photos copied into Furloom and the captions or dates you add
  • Care contacts, food and supply items, and local reminder preferences
  • Widget assignments, rotation choices, and appearance preferences
  • Portable backup files that you create

Furloom uses app-private storage and a local SQLite database. Its widget extension receives the compact photo/profile information it needs through Furloom’s shared App Group container. Other copies may exist wherever you choose to export them.

What Furloom does not collect

The current app does not use:

  • Furloom accounts or sign-up
  • Advertising identifiers or advertising SDKs
  • Product analytics or third-party usage tracking
  • A Furloom server for storing pet data
  • Cloud sync or automatic cloud backup

Ask on supported devices

Where available, Ask uses Apple’s on-device model. Availability depends on the iOS version, eligible hardware, Apple Intelligence settings, and model readiness. The app provides the selected pet’s basic context and the current conversation to that on-device model. Furloom does not send Ask messages or transcripts to a Furloom server, and it does not save the transcript in Furloom’s database.

Ask has no web or live-data access. It cannot inspect your Furloom photos or journal and cannot take actions such as editing records or setting reminders.

Photos

When you select a photo, Furloom copies it into app storage. Furloom does not upload that copy to a Furloom server. The original in your photo library is not changed.

Exports and backups

Photo exports and portable backup files use the device’s system share sheet. You choose the destination, such as AirDrop or Files, and Furloom does not receive a copy. Once shared, the destination’s privacy and storage rules apply.

Portable backup archives are not passphrase-encrypted. Keep them in a location you trust and remove copies you no longer need.

Reminders

Furloom schedules enabled reminders as local notifications on your device. Reminder data is not sent to a Furloom server. Restoring a backup uses new destination-device notification identifiers when permission is available; source identifiers do not transfer.

Deletion

Deleting a photo or pet profile removes the corresponding Furloom copy and records from app storage. Uninstalling removes Furloom’s app data under the operating system’s normal behavior. Files you exported elsewhere remain until you delete them from those destinations.

Changes

If Furloom adds an account, server, cloud sync, off-device AI, analytics, or another material data flow, this policy and the App Store privacy information must be updated before that feature is released.
